Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has made a significant sale in Mumbai’s luxury real estate market. The actor has sold two luxury apartments in Goregaon East’s prestigious Oberoi Exquisite complex.
The deal of two luxury apartments
According to registration records accessed by CRE Matrix from the Maharashtra Department of Registration & Stamps, Amitabh Bachchan sold two 47th-floor units with parking in Oberoi Exquisite for a combined consideration of Rs 12 crore. Each apartment was sold for Rs 6 crore. The buyers of the two apartments are Asha Ishwar Shukla and Mamta Surajdev Shukla, both women who availed the 1% stamp duty rebate under Maharashtra’s scheme. The Mahanayak of Bollywood, who bought the apartments in 2012 for Rs 8.12 crore, has gained nearly a 47% return on his investment over the last 13 years.

This sale is part of Amitabh Bachchan’s ongoing real estate transactions. In January 2025, he sold a duplex apartment in Mumbai’s Oshiwara for Rs 83 crore, which he had purchased for Rs 31 crore, earning a profit of approximately 168%. The actor has been actively buying and selling properties in Mumbai, showcasing his smart investment strategies.
