After a long wait, Rajinikanth’s film Coolie finally made it to the big screens on August 14, 2025. The movie was released ahead of the Independence Day weekend, giving it an advantage for earnings. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, Coolie’s Day 1 box office collection was Rs 65 crore, which was a huge number. Over the next few days, the Rajinikanth-starrer minted in double digits. However, from Day 6, Coolie’s collection witnessed a dip. Now, with Ganesh Chaturthi holidays here, the makers expect a rise in revenue.
Can Coolie Box Office Collection Rise During Ganesh Chaturthi Holidays?
People across India marked the beautiful festival of Ganesh Chaturthi on August 26. As the country celebrated the festival with zeal and pomp, Coolie makers expect the box office collection of the film to rise. As per early estimates by Sacnilk, Coolie has collected Rs 3.29 crore. However, these numbers will definitely rise once the final figures arrive, and hence the movie is expected to witness a growth at the box office.
Coolie vs War 2
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 stars Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in the lead roles. With Jr NTR’s inclusion, the film turned into a true pan-India release. Loaded with high-octane action sequences, War 2 has faced strong competition at the box office. Both movies have crossed Rs 200 crore in India. However, Rajinikanth’s gangster drama is still leading as Coolie’s total box office collection stands at Rs 267 crore.
