This actor has established himself as a household face in the TV industry. Every time he comes on the small screen, fans want to see more of him. We are discussing none other than Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai fame Happu Singh, aka Yogesh Tripathi.
The actor’s character became so famous that a show Happu Ki Ultan Paltan was aired based on it, in which Yogesh Tripathi played the lead role. He recently appeared on Siddharth Kannan’s YouTube channel, where he shared many interesting things related to his life.
When Yogesh Tripathi Came to Mumbai
In the interview, Yogesh said that he came to Mumbai to become an actor. However, when he came to the city initially, it was for his Railways exam, where he and his two other friends stood in the general compartment for 18 hours while travelling from Mumbai to Jhansi. He shifted to Mumbai in 2004, but he got his first famous commercial in 2007.
Yogesh Tripathi did odd jobs to make ends meet in Mumbai for about three years. He sold pens for Rs 2. He worked as a background actor for which he would get Rs 1500. He got Rs 95 as his first salary.
In 2007, when his first advertisement became popular, he was offered his first role in the TV show FIR. He was then paid Rs 2800 as an actor.
When Did Yogesh Tripathi Shoot to Fame
In 2015, when Yogesh did Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai, he shot to fame. His character Happu Singh was loved by the audience. He revealed that at the start of the show, he worked for only 2–3 days.
Yogesh Tripathi became so famous in the role of Happu Singh that the makers decided to produce a show based on his character in 2019. Yogesh said that he then started earning Rs 60,000 a day. Many times, he used to work simultaneously for Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai and Happu Ki Ultan Paltan. He used to get 40 days’ salary.
When asked if he used to earn Rs 24 lakh a month, Yogesh nodded in agreement. He revealed that today he owns four apartments in Mumbai. When he first came to the city, he spent four nights at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.
