Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s much-awaited courtroom drama Jolly LLB 3 has finally hit the silver screens, and its box office numbers on Day 1 are decent. The film started slow with 10 per cent occupancy in the morning shows. However, with loads of critical acclaim, the film picked up its pace, and attracted bigger footfalls in later shows.

According to early estimates by trade tracker Sacnilk.com, Jolly LLB 3 collected Rs 12.50 crore net in India on Day 1. The Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi starrer saw only 10.28% occupancy during morning shows but later improved to 17.46 per cent in the afternoon. An upswing in footfalls helped the film cross the double-digit mark.
The film’s opening day numbers surpassed Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par, which collected Rs 10.20 crore earlier this year, but fail to beat Jolly LLB 2, which opened at Rs 13 crore back when released in 2017.

Written and directed by Subhash Kapoor, Jolly LLB 3 is the third installment in the successful legal comedy franchise. For the first time, it saw both Jollies- Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi- from parts 1 and 2. The film also stars Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Gajraj Rao, Seema Biswas and Saurabh Shukla reprising his role as judge.
