On the big day when Abhishek won his first-ever Best Actor award in a Leading Role (Male), his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya were not seen in the event.

The Saturday night was star-studded as the much-awaited event of the 70th Filmfare Awards 2025 took place. A plethora of nominations were announced, and many even bagged awards. Among them was Abhishek Bachchan, who won his first-ever Best Actor award in a Leading Role (Male) for his 2024 film I Want To Talk. Bachchan shared the honour with Kartik Aaryan, who bagged the award for Chandu Champion. While Abhishek received the award, the actor had a lump in his throat as he expressed his gratitude for the big win. However, one thing that was quickly noticed by fans online was the absence of his wife Aishwarya Rai and daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.
On the big day, Abhishek was accompanied by his sister Shweta Bachchan, mother Jaya Bachchan, and niece Navya Naveli. Fans were quick to spot Aishwarya and Aaradhya’s absence at the event.
However, during his gratitude speech, Abhishek did mention Aishwarya and Aaradhya.
He said, “To Aishwarya and Aaradhya, thank you for allowing me to go out and follow my dreams. I hope that by winning this award, they see that their sacrifices have been one of the main reasons I stand here today. I want to dedicate this award to two very special people. This film is about a father and a daughter, and I want to dedicate it to my hero, my father, and to my other hero, my daughter. Thank you so much, I cannot express what this means to me.”

However, the absence of Aishwarya and Aaradhya still raised eyebrows, and fans wondered why the two most important women in Abhishek’s life were not present during the special moment. While one fan asked, “Why are Aishwarya and Aaradhya not here?”, another wrote, “Important women missing!!”
Meanwhile, rumours of Aishwarya and Abhishek’s divorce have been circulating since last year, but neither has publicly commented on them. Nonetheless, the couple has consistently quashed these speculations through joint appearances and statements.
