Bollywood actor and former MP Govinda has been admitted to Juhu CritiCare Hospital after reportedly falling unconscious at his Mumbai residence on Tuesday night. The 61-year-old star was rushed to the hospital. He is currently under observation.
The news was confirmed by his friend and legal advisor, Lalit Bindal. He said, “Govinda ji was taken to CritiCare Hospital after he suddenly fell unconscious. He is currently under observation.”
Bindal also revealed that the actor was given medication after a telephonic consultation. “He was given medicine after consulting a doctor and was admitted to the hospital in emergency at 1 am,” he added. “He has undergone several tests and is now awaiting the reports.”
Govinda’s accident last year
Last year in October, Govinda went through another health scare after he had accidentally shot himself in the leg when his licensed revolver misfired at home. After the accident, the actor was immediately rushed to CritiCare Hospital in Juhu, where he was treated for a wound below his knee and underwent an hour-long surgery to remove the bullet.
Speaking earlier about the incident, Govinda said, “I was leaving for a show in Kolkata, and it was early morning, around 5… woh giri aur chal padi (it fell and misfired)… I was stunned, and then I saw a fountain of blood coming out,” recalled the actor after being discharged.
