A compilation about love, liberty, and a close artistic partnership, those times when there was time and enough. Each piece passionately expresses the need to demonstrate, cherish, and demand tenderness, strength, and compassion. Enough to sense, to experience the feelings of love and suffering.
It is an homage to love, sometimes spoken literally and other times in expressions and allusions, but it is set in the present while drawing from the past. Emeralds, pearls, pastel pink and blue, ivory, and predominantly antique silver and gold metallics. Love for everything modernly Indian, including the “Khinkhab brocade”, the zardozi, the textures, the hand embroidery, the tailoring, and the fluidity. Despite structured drapery, it is ignored. it’s lace and romance. Little hearts, bows, and the swan—the ultimate symbol of love—are all present.
