Why Did Bigg Boss Cancel the Captaincy Task?
The 40th episode of Bigg Boss started with the captaincy task. However, in no time, the task turned into a heated and ugly argument between Amaal Mallik and Abhishek Bajaj.
Ashnoor Kaur was made the gatekeeper of the task, and housemates had to pass through her judgment while carrying out the activity.
Midway through the task, an earlier remark by Amaal Mallik about Ashnoor took center stage. Several contestants demanded Bigg Boss intervene and provide clarity before the task could continue, leading to the activity being halted as the housemates collectively refused to move forward.
After a lot of back-and-forth and heated arguments, Ashnoor decided to restart the task and complete it since she was the gatekeeper. However, what happened next completely changed the game.
Ashnoor somehow convinced all housemates that if Bigg Boss didn’t call her into the confession room and show the video of Amaal, then following the task, everyone would remove their mics and place them on the ground.
Bigg Boss Intervened
As a surprise, Bigg Boss intervened in the task and scolded every contestant for threatening the master of the house. Bigg Boss also bashed contestants for taking the democracy in the house for granted. As a result, the captaincy task was cancelled then and there, and Farrhana, who was elected as captain in the previous week, will continue her captaincy duty this week too.
The cancellation means the house will go through the week without a new captain, a rare occurrence on the show. It will be intriguing to see how things unfold in the upcoming Weekend Ka Vaar episode.
