Nehal Chudasama’s father wanted her to marry at 18
In an interview, Nehal revealed that her Gujarati father never supported her dreams. When she was 17 years old, she received a call for a local beauty pageant to be held in Andheri. At that time, she lived in Borivali and couldn’t even afford the travel expenses. She said, “I told my brother about the call but also mentioned that I couldn’t go because I didn’t have the money.”
Nehal’s struggles wasn’t limited to financial difficulties. She also opened up about the taunts and rejections she faced because of her body. She said, “I was an athlete, but I was overweight. I lost 20 kg in just three months through sheer hard work and determination.”
Nehal further recalled how her father wanted her to get married at the age of 18 and even stopped her from going to the gym. As a result, she began working out in public parks, where she was molested. Nehal said, “After that, my father finally allowed me to go to the gym.”
