Huma Qureshi has finally shared her thoughts on the much-anticipated Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, marking the grand return of Kannada superstar Yash to the big screen after the record-breaking success of KGF: Chapter 2. The film, which has been creating buzz since its announcement, is one of the most awaited projects in Indian cinema and brings together an impressive lineup of talent both in front of and behind the camera.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Huma refrained from divulging plot details but offered a glimpse into the scale and spirit of the project. “It’s a mammoth production and it was great to collaborate with a star of Yash’s magnitude and director of Geetu Mohandas’ calibre. They have created something beautiful and exceptional, and it will be well worth the wait. I want to work more frequently in South but as yet, nothing really exciting has come up,” she shared.
The actor also reflected on her artistic journey and her desire to avoid being typecast. “I don’t want to box myself as an artist. I want to do everything. I feel blessed that I can do a stunning, hot song at the same time I’m putting flecks of grey in my hair. As an actor, it’s a really great space to be in and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Perhaps my quest is to become the most versatile actor in the country,” Huma added.
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is directed by Geetu Mohandas and co-written by Yash himself. The film is said to be an unconventional gangster drama with a fantastical narrative twist. Backed by KVN Productions and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, it boasts an ensemble cast featuring Yash, Tovino Thomas, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, Sudev Nair, and Akshay Oberoi.
While details about the storyline are still tightly under wraps, the film’s teaser and early visuals have already ignited massive curiosity. With Yash stepping into a new cinematic territory and Geetu Mohandas helming what promises to be a visually rich and genre-defying experience, Toxic is shaping up to be one of 2025’s most talked-about releases.
