Actor-politician Nirahua, also known as Dinesh Lal Yadav, is one of the top stars in the Bhojpuri film industry. He has worked alongside megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in the Bhojpuri film The Great Leader. Interestingly, he once became, knowingly or unknowingly, the target of Jaya Bachchan’s anger and even got a beating from her. Nirahua shared this amusing anecdote with a laugh.

When Nirahua was asked, “Jaya ji is a very good actress, but she’s also known for her short temper. She often scolds the paparazzi. Have you ever experienced something like that?” he replied with a laugh, “Yes! She didn’t scold me, but she did hit me with a stick two or three times. It was part of the scene.”
In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Nirahua said, “Actually, in the scene, I raised my hand on my wife, and Jaya ji was playing my mother. So, she got angry and hit me. It was also my good fortune -something very few in Bollywood have experienced, to have Amitabh Bachchan play my father and Jaya ji play my mother in a film. So yes, she hit me with a stick two or three times, and I still remember it.”
While explaining this, Nirahua placed his hand on his waist and said, “She gets very angry. I thought she would hit me lightly, just for the scene, but no, she actually hit me three or four times with a stick!” He continued, “I said to her, ‘Hey, that really hurt!’ And she replied, ‘Why do you do such things?’” Nirahua burst into laughter as he recalled the moment.
Nirahua further shared that Jaya ji was completely in character during the scene. “She asked, ‘Why did you hit my daughter-in-law?’ I replied, ‘Hey, I was just acting—and you really hit me!’” Clarifying the incident, Nirahua added, “It wasn’t intentional. These things happen sometimes during a shot, so it’s okay. But even that felt like prasad to me.”
