With the trailer of Tere Ishk Mein surpassing 90.24 million views across platforms within minutes of its release, the anticipation around Aanand L Rai’s next romantic drama has surged. The A.R. Rahman musical, releasing on 28 November 2025 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, has struck an emotional chord even before reaching cinemas—thanks to its raw mood, layered characters and a palpable sense of turbulence that defines the story.

Kriti Sanon breaks down Mukti’s most intense moments in Tere Ishk Mein: “Those scenes were extremely draining”
Amid the rising chatter, Kriti Sanon offered an honest, introspective look into the emotional weight of playing her character, Mukti. Speaking about the challenge of portraying someone written with restraint and unspoken depth, she shared, “Mukti’s character has a very diverse graph… what she starts from, what she ends up becoming, her choices, her decisions… there are a lot of layers to what she is doing. A lot is sometimes not said… there is no dialogue at times to help you and it just has to be translated in your eyes. That was something new and I really enjoyed it.”
The actress also opened up about the toll the film’s most difficult portions took on her—particularly the long, emotionally charged sequences towards the climax that were shot over nearly a week. “There are a lot of really intense scenes… both physically and emotionally those scenes were extremely draining. I could feel that low energy in everyone around on set and could even feel it in my vanity with my team. At times when I went back home it stayed with me. I felt extremely drained.”
She added that the pre-climax and climax represent the emotional peak of Mukti’s journey, describing them as “the most intense bit of the film” and the part that “pulled me down the most.”
Kriti’s reflections offer a glimpse into the fragility, resolve and emotional honesty she brings to Tere Ishk Mein, underscoring the film’s promise of a deeply felt performance. With Rahman’s soundtrack already drawing praise and the trailer sustaining its momentum, the film is shaping up to deliver a story anchored in powerful emotions and lived-in character work.
