Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who boasts 93 million Instagram followers, has unveiled her desi-inspired rendition of Wham!’s timeless classic ‘Last Christmas.’ The song is part of Christmas Karma, the upcoming festive family film by acclaimed filmmaker Gurinder Chadha, known for Bend It Like Beckham and Blinded By The Light. The film is set to release in India on December 12 through PVRINOX Pictures.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s global influence has been recognized with numerous honours, including India’s Padma Shri, a place on Time’s 100 and the BBC’s 100 Women lists, and the distinction of being the first South Asian actress to win a People’s Choice Award for her role in Quantico. Her long-awaited collaboration with Gurinder Chadha holds special personal meaning, as the two have shared a close friendship for many years.

Christmas Karma is a festive, feel-good musical inspired by Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. The film stars Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory) as Mr. Sood, a modern-day Scrooge, who embarks on a magical journey guided by the three Ghosts of Christmas Eva Longoria, Billy Porter, and Boy George helping him confront his past and embrace the true meaning of Christmas: kindness. The ensemble cast also includes Leo Suter, Pixie Lott, Charithra Chandran, Danny Dyer, and Hugh Bonneville.
The film’s vibrant soundtrack blends gospel, bhangra, Christmas carols, rap, and classic pop, creating a joyous musical celebration of contemporary Britain and its diverse communities.
