The sudden death of singer Zubeen Garg has left his fans, especially the people of Assam, in mourning. Now, following Zubeen’s funeral, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Assam Police conducted raids against Zubeen Garg’s manager in Assam on Thursday. As per a report by India Today, places linked to Zubeen’s manager, Siddharth Sharma, were searched in Guwahati’s Datalpara. Sources say CID officials reached the complex in the morning and stayed outside the three-story building for nearly two hours before carrying out the raid. The raid, carried out under the supervision of a magistrate, focused on Flat 3A, a 3BHK apartment on the third floor, where Siddharth Sharma and his family have lived since 2019. When the team reached Sharma’s flat, they found it locked. However, the lock was broken in the presence of the magistrate. Following that, a search was conducted by the team. The residents of the building where Sharma’s flat is located said that the brother, along with the sister and mother of Zubeen’s manager, lived in the flat. However, none of them were seen after the singer’s death. During the search, fans of Zubeen were clearly seen expressing anger, due to which additional forces had to be called in. The Assam government has constituted a 10-member SIT, led by Special DGP MP Gupta, to investigate Zubeen Garg’s death. The probe was initiated after massive allegations of foul play in Zubeen’s death were raised. While initial reports claimed that Garg passed away after drowning during a scuba diving event, his wife Farima Saika Garg later clarified that the singer suffered a seizure while swimming at Lazarus Island. She mentioned that Zubeen, along with his associates, including drummer Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and manager Siddhartha Sharma, was wearing a life jacket during his initial swim. After the first swim, Zubeen went for a second swim, during which he suffered a seizure and was later pronounced dead.
