Sunita Ahuja and Govinda, who were in the headlines for days, have once again landed in the spotlight. Earlier this year, reports surfaced that Sunita and Govinda were parting ways. However, the two cleared the air on various occasions. Now, in another controversy, Govinda’s wife Sunita expressed her disagreement over the actor apologising for the remark she made about the priest Govinda consults for everything.
What Was the Whole Matter?
Earlier, in an interview, Sunita revealed that Govinda doesn’t give her money and instead spends it on religious work. Ahuja also said that there is this one priest whom he often consults for all the religious work he does.
Following Sunita’s remarks, Govinda publicly issued an apology and said, “My wife made disparaging remarks against Pandit Mukesh Shukla on the podcast, and I condemn them. My deepest apologies.” “Pandit Mukesh Ji and his family have been with me in tough times, and I respect him a lot,” Govinda concluded.
Sunita Ahuja’s Disagreement with Govinda’s Apology
Sunita has now shared that she’s unhappy with Govinda apologising on her behalf for the remarks she made.
“Kaafi sun rahi hoon ki maine kuch galat shabd use kiye hain. Mere adarniya Govinda ji, jo mere patidev hain, unhone bhi haath jod kar maafi maangi hai. Jo mujhe bilkul achcha nahi laga kyunki main aapko ek baat bataun, Chi Chi, main kabhi nahi chahungi ki aap kabhi kisi ke saamne mere liye haath jodein (I am hearing things like I said something wrong. For that my beloved husband Govinda had to apologise. I did not like that at all because I would never want him to apologise in front of anyone because of me),” she said, as quoted by Hindustan Times.
Sunita further added, “Maine kisi ka naam nahi liya tha, ki specifically maine kisi ke baare mein bola. Mere saath aise kuch cheezein hui thi toh maine isliye bola. Agar aap logon ko bura laga ho toh main har sidh pith ke guru ji ko aur har sthal ke guru ji ko haath jod kar maafi maangna chahti hoon agar kisi ko bura laga. Mere saath jo experience hua hai maine woh bola hai. Abhi Govinda ji ke yahan 3-3 pandit hain, unko ye clarification dene ki koi zarurat nahi thi. Mujhe bahut bura laga. Main kabhi nahi chahti hoon ki Govinda aisa kare (I had not taken anyone’s name. I shared what had happened with me. If anyone felt bad, then I would like to offer my apologies to each and every guru ji. Govinda did not have to apologise, I did not like it and would never want him to do that again).”
